Or how you miss that sale or event because the algorithm decided to show it to you three days after it’s over? Maybe you’re off social media completely and just miss what local businesses post.
Yeah, we fixed that.
Here’s how it works:
Your favorite local business owner, non-profit organization or government agency (we call them a Storekeeper) sets up a Storefront in the VS Connects app. You download the app and follow their Storefront. Now they can send you updates directly to your phone. Last minute specials. Event announcements. Hour changes. The stuff you actually want to know.
No algorithm. No ads. No surveillance. Just useful information from businesses you already care about, delivered like a text message on your lock screen.
When you download VS Connects for iOS or Android and follow a Storefront, you become a Storewatcher. That’s it. You’re now getting the information you want without wading through the noise.
Follow one business or follow your whole town:
Search for a specific business in the app, or follow your entire town’s feed to get updates from all the local Storekeepers at once. You can even follow other towns if you want. Maybe you work in one place and live in another. Maybe you’re keeping tabs on where your parents or kids live. It’s up to you.
How to get started:
Download the VS Connects app (available on iOS or Android). Create an account (Important: Creating an account on this website will not work – you must create an account in the app after downloading). Go to Explore: Search for your town or your favorite local business. Thumbs up means follow and you’re done.
